I create a lot of hand lettered quotes and the like for various clients, gallery shows, and just for fun. This would be an endless website if I created a special page for each of them so here is a collection of my favorites.

Mantra

I lettered this quote for the Creative Pep Talk book by Andy J. Miller, but it's been my mantra for quite some time. 

Teaching Tolerance Magazine

It was such a treat to create this full page illustration for Teaching Tolerance Magazine. I was given this beautiful quote from Malala Yousafzai to create something teachers could tear out of the issue and hang in the classroom. 

I was also asked to contribute another illustrated quote a few months later for this wonderful B.B. King quote. I really wanted it to have a fun Blues-y energy.

I was asked to create this illustration to accompany an article about making things just to make things. Sometimes the added pressure of creating work to further a career or make money can hinder the creative process.

Edible Portland

This is a bit of an oldie done in 2010 but I still like it. Full page lettering and illustration chock full of fun facts about mint in Oregon. Working with Edible Portland is always a treat because I love learning new things about Oregon.

Kazoo Magazine

I was pleased to be asked to letter this secret code game for Kazoo Magazine. I also had the pleasure of creating the art for the cover of their first issue. It is an awesome magazine that is chock-full-of amazing art, games and things to read for young girls.
